Niles “Red Bean” Blaize
Laissez les Bons Temps Rouler,!.....words to live by in any language.
Well spoken by this Alabama born, Mississippi bred music man, Niles “Red Bean” Blaize. Living so close to New Orleans, “I could smell the binets in the morning”, Red Bean not only brings out the Party, he carries it in his soul. Ever since his first Mardi Gras parade, he knew. He joined the parade at 10 playing the trumpet, followed by the Harmonica, Guitar, Bass, and Squeeze-box.
“Red Bean” took to the railroad and worked it from New Orleans to Mobile, continuing to play up and down the Gulf Coast. Then, the railroad took him to Savannah, Ga (“You is a Yankee, is ya?”) and finally down to South Florida, where he now resides.
You may see “Red Bean” Blaize around town with Rob Altar in Blaize ‘n’ Altar or leading the El Dorado’s when Otis Cadillac comes to town. He brings a little Blues, a little Rock n Roll, a little Southern Rock and Cajun Funk
“Th’aint no telling what cha gonna get when ya show up to see “Red Bean”. But ya’ll know its gonna be good, Brah!”
